One of our top clients, a very reputable, stable, Chicago-based financial services organization is looking for a Project Manager / Project Leader to join their PMO team as a full time employee.
As Project Manager / Project Leader, you will provide project leadership, ability and support; Create repository for important project details; monitor adherence to established project management practices, procedures and policies; and make recommendations for process improvements. In addition, the selected applicant will oversee and implement project management and planning ( PMP ) and portfolio management processes, procedures, templates and standards in a proactive manner; Facilitate establishment roles and responsibilities; Coach core and extended project teams on PMP, specifically budget, schedule, interface, change, risk and issue management; and Develop customized SDLC and ensure adherence to it.
The Project Manager / Project Leader will also ensure costs are properly reflected in budget, actual and forecast analysis; Prepare Score Cards for corporate committee meetings; Conduct project, focus group meetings and reviews ( phase, sub-project, implementation, and post implementation ); Interact with Business Leads, Project Manager, Functional Manager(s) and deliverable owners on resource issues; Participate in operational readiness tests ( ORTs ) and parallels; and Organize and conduct Project Definition Workshops.
